Forest School
Resilience, independence and a deep connection to the natural world.
Learning outdoors
Where curiosity grows
Forest School is a core part of learning in our Early Years and Key Stage 1.
Regular sessions outdoors give children the freedom to explore, take managed risks, build dens, investigate minibeasts and work together on hands-on challenges. Learning links directly to the classroom — for example, Year 1 pupils hunt for natural materials such as mud, sticks and leaves and test them for strength and waterproofness.
- Builds confidence, resilience and independence
- Develops teamwork, communication and problem-solving
